Dawson River Festival – Taroom
September 27 @ 6:00 pm - September 29 @ 6:00 pm
The Taroom Dawson River Festival is held on the last weekend in September, every year.
The Dawson river festival
Inspired by the magnificent Dawson River, towns that border its banks pay homage to its virtues, each year throughout September.
From north to south, Baralaba, Moura, Theodore and Taroom stage a feast of festivities under the banner of the Dawson River Festival that highlights the many ways the river impacts their lives.
Focused on families, thousands turn out to parkland, showground and civic hall events that throw the spotlight on the mighty Dawson and all that’s great about their riverside communities.
This year the Dawson River Festival offers an Art Show, the Taroom Races, markets and more. There are a range of activities held during the weekend event. See their Facebook Page below for details.
