CANCELLED Kilburnie Homestead Open Day

Built in 1883 by the Campbell family, Kilburnie Homestead is the birthplace of local artist Ruby Campbell.  Nowadays, Kilburnie Homestead is an operational cattle station with added history, art & music displays and open days…..and perhaps a ghost or two!!  Make sure you get along to one of the open days for a taste of what’s on offer.  It truly is an amazing experience.

2020 Open days

Light refreshments available.

2nd May (cancelled) will be the first open day for 2020.  From 11am – 6pm – “The Campbell Clan at War”.  An ANZAC exhibition showing the Kilburnie family involvement in WWI, WWII, Korean War, Iraq and guided tours of the property.  Fundraising for RFDS.  Live music, Art and History Exhibits, Waler Horses.  Entry fees apply.

6th – 7th June we will open between 12pm (Sat) until 4pm (Sun) – Save the date for a weekend of markets with music, history and art, guided tours, children’s craft.  Camping available overnight.

15th – 16th August will be a combined “Artists Retreat” and “Iron and Fire” display.
From 9am on the 15th the Artists Retreat will kick off.  Overnight glamping is available on a bookings basis.
From 11am – 5pm on the 16th there will be blacksmithing displays (Guest Blacksmith – Noel Giles), billy-tea and damper will be available.  Buggy rides, live music and kids activities.  Entry fees apply.
