If all goes to plan.. the Autumn Rally will start in Alice Springs on 22 May and end at the Gold Coast (via Taroom) on 28 May.  Participants challenge themselves to the unthinkable – driving cars worth just $1,000 across Australia via some of its most formidable roads, all in the name of fundraising for the Cancer Council.

On the evening of 27 May (tbc), cars will zoom, purr or backfire into the Taroom Showgrounds, where the local community will welcome them to their overnight camp. The Taroom District Development Association and Taroom Kindergarten P&C Association will provide food and drinks for the drivers and their entourages, then send them off the next morning to complete the final leg of their incredible 3,962km journey.
