On Saturday 24 July, this 100kg groove stone will make its return home to Iman Country in Taroom, after a 45 year absence. In walking the Star back to Country from Brisbane to Taroom in a hand cart, organisers hope to highlight the healing and transformative power of repatriation, not just for individuals and communities, but for entire nations. Applications to join sections of the walk are being accepted now, with the last 4km section on 24 July open to everyone!

Join in the celebrations at the Taroom Museum for the opening of the Wardingarri Keeping Place, the Star’s new home, then afterwards at the show grounds, for cultural activities, music and a barbecue lunch. Details and times will be posted closer to the 24th.
