Long Drive for Drought 2021
August 28 @ 2:30 pm - August 29 @ 9:30 amN/A
The Long Drive for Drought is a road trip in iconic 40 Series Landcruisers to raise much needed funds for Drought Angels. These vehicles are synonymous with the bush and make an impressive sight traveling in convoy through Qld.
The convoy will make their way into Banana Shire, home of the Sandstone Wonders, on Saturday 28 August via the Eidsvold-Theodore Road. Stopping at the iconic Cracow Pub for lunch, before heading to Theodore for an overnight stay, members of the public are invited to attend an event at the Theodore Bowls Club on Saturday evening to meet the drivers and share their own experiences of the prolonged drought. Theodore Community Link is organising breakfast for the convoy on Sunday morning, before farewelling them as they head off to Springsure on the backroads of Outback Queensland.
