Located in Kroombit Tops National Park is the 1945 crash site of Beautiful Betsy, the ill-fated WWII Liberator bomber. Its story is sign-posted on the short walk to the site from the Loop Road.

Only suitable in dry conditions and for 4WD, traversing the park via the Razorback Track and Loop Road will take you across rivers and deep ravines to fantastic heights where the sights and hikes are amid wild country. These tracks less-travelled are best left to experienced drivers with high clearance vehicles.

There are picturesque picnic spots by the creek and it’s an easy 100 metre walk to the lookout with fantastic views of the Boyne Valley.

Unlock Memories Through Art: Join us at the 2024 Brigalow Arts Festival.

The Banana Shire Regional Art Gallery is currently exhibiting the Festival, themed Memory, until 6 December 2024. This annual open art exhibition gives Banana Shire and Central Queensland artists the opportunity to display their works and compete for cash prizes and awards.

As it gets hotter, let’s talk about the coolest attraction in town: the Biloela Aquatic Centre!

Located on Rainbow Street, Biloela, the centre has:
🏊‍♂️ 25M & 50M outdoor heated pools
☀️ Toddler/kids pool
🐳 Learn to swim lessons
👶 Free babies program (up to 8 months of age)

Whether you want to do laps to stay fit, learn to swim or just relax in the water, head on down to the aquatic centre!

A lifeguard is always on duty, and snacks and drinks are available to purchase from the kiosk.

The northern most town in the Banana Shire, Dululu is a junction point that divides the two southern arterials, the Burnett Highway (A3) to the east and the Leichhardt Highway (A5) to the west.

Both highways reveal untold adventures, and this rural village is the start of them all - a launching pad to the shire, and perfect place to stop, rest and make your touring plans.

At the rest area in Dululu, a plaque bearing the names of early settlers is mounted on a hexagonal shaped rock like those found at Mount Scoria near Thangool.
